Class Enrollment

Audience: Healthcare professionals who direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel working in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

Description: The American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course builds on Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, with an emphasis on continuous, high-quality CPR, effective team dynamics, communication, systems of care, and post-cardiac arrest management. Training includes advanced airway management, related pharmacology, and case-based scenarios taught in both large and small group settings. Students must demonstrate competency in CPR/AED use, bag-mask ventilation, a Megacode test, and a written exam. Successful completion results in an AHA ACLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.

Duration: Approximately 10–12 hours.

• AHA ACLS Provider Manual (Item #20-1005, includes ACLS Pocket Reference Card Set). Available for purchase at our Mesa office.

• ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment, emailed upon registration (must be completed before class).
