American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training

  • Audience: Youth ages 11–16 who are interested in learning how to safely and responsibly care for infants and children while developing leadership and babysitting skills.

  • Description: This course provides participants with the knowledge and confidence to care for children and infants safely. Training covers leadership and business skills, proper child supervision, recognizing and preventing hazards, SIDS awareness, handwashing, feeding, burping, diapering, handling emergencies, and understanding when to call 911. Participants will also learn basic first aid and observe CPR demonstrations for infants and children (note: this class does not include CPR certification). Each student will practice real-life scenarios to build confidence and responsibility.

  • Duration: Approximately 5 hours.

  • Cost: $75.00

  • Additional Information:

    • Each participant must register with a unique email address.

    • Please send your child with a lunch and water; food and drinks are not provided.

Cancellation Policy

You may reschedule prior to your original class date. If you miss your scheduled class and do not reschedule within 3 business days, a new payment will be required.

If you cancel before your original class date, you are eligible for a refund, less a 10% administrative fee. Refunds will be issued with in 30 days.
