• Audience: Caregivers, direct support providers, behavioral health staff, respite workers, and others who provide services to individuals through the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).

• Description: Article 9 is an Arizona law outlining how the Division of Developmental Disabilities supports individuals using proactive, positive, and adaptive behavior methods. This course provides a clear explanation of techniques that are prohibited, those requiring a Division-approved behavior plan, and those requiring no prior approval. Training emphasizes dignity, respect, and positive support strategies. The course is taught by a Certified Master Article 9 Instructor. Successful completion meets state training requirements.
