• Audience: Caregivers, respite providers, bus drivers, teachers, behavioral health technicians (BHTs), foster parents, expecting and new parents, and other community members seeking certification.
• Description: This American Red Cross course provides the knowledge and skills needed to assist adults, children, and infants during breathing and cardiac emergencies. Training includes CPR, AED, choking response, and First Aid for a wide range of emergencies such as asthma attacks, anaphylaxis, burns, diabetic complications, bleeding, poisoning, environmental emergencies, head/neck/spinal injuries, heart attacks, strokes, and seizures. Students will practice hands-on CPR skills and emergency response techniques. Successful completion results in certification.
• Duration: Approximately 5.5 hours.
