Class Enrollment

Audience: Experienced ACLS providers and currently active healthcare professionals who routinely use ACLS in their job duties. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

Description: This renewal course updates participants on the knowledge and skills needed to apply the American Heart Association’s ACLS treatment guidelines for adult patients experiencing cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies. Emphasis is placed on improving outcomes through effective application of BLS, ECG interpretation, ACLS pharmacology, and advanced patient assessments. Instruction is delivered through evidence-based, case-driven methods proven to enhance learning and retention. Successful completion results in an AHA ACLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.

Duration: Approximately 6–8 hours.

Prerequisites:

• Current AHA ACLS Provider Card (must be presented at class).

• Proficiency in: BLS CPR skills (per 2020 AHA Guidelines), ECG interpretation, ACLS drugs, and performing both the BLS and ACLS surveys.

Student Materials Required:

• AHA ACLS Provider Manual (Item #20-1005, includes ACLS Pocket Reference Card Set). Available for purchase at our Mesa office.

• ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment, emailed upon registration (must be completed before class).
