Course Overview: The AHA ACLS Instructor Course teaches the methods needed to effectively instruct others in resuscitation courses.  

Duration: The ACLS Instructor Course is approximately 8 hours

Cost: $495.00

Who Should Attend: The Ideal instructor candidate is motivated to teach, facilitate learning and ensure students acquire the skills necessary for successful course completion. The ideal instructor candidate views student assessment to improve individual knowledge and skills. AHA requires that instructors be at least 18 years old. Must have current provider status in the discipline in which you wish to teach.

The ideal instructor can be identified as someone who has:

• A strong desire to teach
• Excellent BLS performance & problem-solving skills
• The ability to follow direction & follow through with tasks
• The ability to communicate effectively in front of a group.
• Previous medical background.

Instructor Candidate Prerequisites: All participants in an instructor course must:

1. Hold a current AHA ACLS Provider card
2. Complete an AHA Instructor application (done in the instructor course)
3. Submit a Letter of Recommendation
4. Successfully completed the AHA ACLS Essentials Online course, included with cost of training. Link will be sent with the confirmation email.

You are required to send a copy of your current ACLS Provider card and letter of recommendation to our Training Center prior to attending the course.
