  • Audience: Foster parents, caregivers, teachers, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, security guards (with OSHA-approved certification option), behavioral health technicians (BHTs), respite care providers, assisted living staff, and nannies.
  • Description: This combined course covers both CPR and First Aid. The CPR portion includes the Good Samaritan Law, complications of CPR, stroke, heart attack, CPR barriers, choking, and AED use for adults, children, and infants. The First Aid portion covers PPE use, shock, bleeding, diabetes, asthma, anaphylaxis, seizures, burns, poisoning, bites, stings, heat- and cold-related emergencies, and both internal and external injuries. Students will practice hands-on CPR and First Aid scenarios to build confidence in real emergencies. Upon completion, students receive a certification card.
  • Duration: Approximately 4 hours.
  • Audience: Foster parents, caregivers, teachers, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, security guards (with OSHA-approved certification option), behavioral health technicians (BHTs), respite care providers, assisted living staff, and nannies.
  • Description: This CPR-focused course covers the Good Samaritan Law, complications of CPR, stroke, heart attack, CPR barriers, choking, and AED use for adults, children, and infants. Each student will practice hands-on CPR skills throughout the course. Upon completion, students receive a certification card.
  • Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
  • Audience: Foster parents, caregivers, teachers, paraprofessionals, bus drivers, security guards (with OSHA-approved certification option), behavioral health technicians (BHTs), respite care providers, assisted living staff, and nannies.
  • Description: This First Aid course provides training in the recognition and treatment of medical and environmental emergencies. Topics include PPE use, shock, bleeding, diabetes, asthma, anaphylaxis, seizures, burns, poisoning, bites, stings, heat- and cold-related emergencies, and both internal and external injuries. Students will gain hands-on practice to prepare them for real-life situations. Upon completion, students receive a certification card.
  • Duration: Approximately 2 hours.
  • Audience: Healthcare professionals such as EMS personnel, physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nursing students, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and others requiring an American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Description: This instructor-led, video-based course prepares participants to provide basic life support in healthcare settings. Training includes recognizing life-threatening emergencies, performing high-quality chest compressions, providing appropriate ventilations, early AED use, and relief of choking. The course covers single- and multi-rescuer techniques for adults, children, and infants. Successful completion results in an official AHA BLS Provider certification card.
  • Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours.
  • Audience: Caregivers, respite providers, bus drivers, teachers, behavioral health technicians (BHTs), foster parents, expecting and new parents, and other community members seeking certification.
  • Description: This American Red Cross course provides the knowledge and skills needed to assist adults, children, and infants during breathing and cardiac emergencies. Training includes CPR, AED, choking response, and First Aid for a wide range of emergencies such as asthma attacks, anaphylaxis, burns, diabetic complications, bleeding, poisoning, environmental emergencies, head/neck/spinal injuries, heart attacks, strokes, and seizures. Students will practice hands-on CPR skills and emergency response techniques. Successful completion results in certification.
  • Duration: Approximately 5.5 hours.

Arizona Administrative Code r6-6-901, commonly known as Article 9, is an Arizona law. This law relates to how the Divisions of Developmental Disabilities will proactively and positively support people's positive and adaptive behavior. This course includes a clear definition of techniques that are prohibited from use at any time, techniques that require a Division approved Behavior plan and/or techniques that require no prior approval. Course taught by a Certified Master Article 9 Instructor. Course 3.5 Hours.  The cost of this course is $35.00.

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course is to provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic childcare and basic first aid. Also includes proper child supervision, safety walk-through, choking hazards, water hazards, SIDS awareness, hand washing, feeding an infant and a child, burping, diapering, removing gloves, handling a crying baby, recognizing an emergency, personal safety, head / neck injuries and when to call 911. CPR will be demonstrated for Child and Infant however there will not be a full CPR certification provided.

This course is recommended for youth from ages 11 - 16 years old.

  • Audience: Healthcare professionals and students entering the medical field who need an American Heart Association BLS certification but prefer a blended format (online coursework plus in-person skills testing).
  • Description: This course is completed in three parts:
    • Part 1 (Online Course): Participants receive a link from the AHA to complete the BLS for Healthcare Providers online module. The self-paced program can be accessed multiple times for up to 24 months from activation. Approximate time: 2 hours.
    • Parts 2 & 3 (Skills Practice & Testing): Participants attend an in-person session for hands-on practice and a skills test. A printed completion certificate from Part 1 must be presented at the session. Skills sessions must be completed within 60 days of finishing the online course.
      Successful completion of all three parts results in the same AHA BLS Provider card as the classroom version. Please note: Online courses and scheduled skills sessions are non-refundable.
  • Duration: Approximately 2 hours online + 1–2 hours in-person skills session (3–4 total hours).

 

  • Audience: Healthcare professionals who direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel working in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

  • Description: The American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course builds on Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, with an emphasis on continuous, high-quality CPR, effective team dynamics, communication, systems of care, and post-cardiac arrest management. Training includes advanced airway management, related pharmacology, and case-based scenarios taught in both large and small group settings. Students must demonstrate competency in CPR/AED use, bag-mask ventilation, a Megacode test, and a written exam. Successful completion results in an AHA ACLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.

  • Duration: Approximately 10–12 hours.

  • Student Materials Required:

    • AHA ACLS Provider Manual (Item #20-1005, includes ACLS Pocket Reference Card Set). Available for purchase at our Mesa office.

    • ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment, emailed upon registration (must be completed before class).

  • Policies: Cancellations made less than 5 days before class are subject to a non-refundable $50 fee.

 

 

 

  • Audience: Experienced ACLS providers and currently active healthcare professionals who routinely use ACLS in their job duties. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units.

  • Description: This renewal course updates participants on the knowledge and skills needed to apply the American Heart Association’s ACLS treatment guidelines for adult patients experiencing cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies. Emphasis is placed on improving outcomes through effective application of BLS, ECG interpretation, ACLS pharmacology, and advanced patient assessments. Instruction is delivered through evidence-based, case-driven methods proven to enhance learning and retention. Successful completion results in an AHA ACLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.

  • Duration: Approximately 6–8 hours.

  • Prerequisites:

    • Current AHA ACLS Provider Card (must be presented at class).

    • Proficiency in: BLS CPR skills (per 2020 AHA Guidelines), ECG interpretation, ACLS drugs, and performing both the BLS and ACLS surveys.

  • Student Materials Required:

    • AHA ACLS Provider Manual (Item #20-1005, includes ACLS Pocket Reference Card Set). Available for purchase at our Mesa office.

    • ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment, emailed upon registration (must be completed before class).

  • Policies: Cancellations made less than 5 days before class are subject to a non-refundable $50 fee.

 

 

  • Audience: General public and non-medical professionals such as caregivers, teachers, foster parents, childcare providers, bus drivers, respite providers, and community members.
  • Description: This blended course combines an online learning component with an in-person skills session. The online portion covers best practices for responding to a wide range of emergencies including asthma, anaphylaxis, burns, choking, diabetic emergencies, external bleeding, environmental emergencies, heart attack, poisoning, neck/head/spinal injuries, stroke, and seizures. During the in-person session, participants will complete hands-on CPR, AED, and First Aid skills practice and testing with a certified instructor. A printed online completion certificate must be brought to the skills session. Successful completion results in an American Red Cross eCard certification.
  • Duration: Approximately 1.5–2 hours online + 1.5 hours in-person skills session (3–3.5 total hours).

For Renewals: To qualify you must have a primary alignment with Lifework Education Inc training center, WA20358 and have taught the required 4 classes within the past two years.
